What is the educational support service plan?

The educational support service plan at ADHD Child & Family Services is a customized plan developed alongside the parent, student, teacher and/or counselor, and the clinic’s educational specialist.

The team’s collaborative approach produces a long term educational plan with short term goals, or targets, that can be implemented right away.

Since all students are unique and different, the team creates a plan to address specific areas of educational need.

Does my student need an educational support plan?

If your student is struggling in school, demonstrating reluctance or anxiety about going to school, or coping with mental health or behavioral issues, they may benefit from an educational support plan.

What are the benefits of an educational support plan?

The purpose of the plan is to increase student success. In order to do this, it is important to identify the educational needs and concerns of your student and then develop strategies and structural supports to address their areas of difficulty.

Helping you and your student to develop these strategies and supports can help increase their academic success and improve self-confidence and self-esteem.

Together, the student, the parent, the classroom teacher and/or school counselor and the educational specialist work to develop a strong foundation to build on for the coming years, promoting greater school success and making learning a more positive experience.

If your student is struggling to reach their academic potential, call ADHD Child & Family Services, or schedule a consultation online today.
